with Amazon.com about locating two centers in the
Chattanooga area.
Gov. Phil Bredesen and Economic and Community
Development Commissioner Matt Kisber said in a
news release Monday night that the potential sites
are at the Enterprise South Industrial Park in
Chattanooga and along Tennessee 308 in Bradley
County.
They said the two would create up to 1,400 new
jobs over “a period of years.”
According to the news release, the two projects
would represent a combined investment of more
than $164 million and more than 2 million square
feet of distribution space.
It was the first time state officials have named the
company involved in the negotiations.
