Sometimes there’s unintended humor in the juxtaposition between the body of an email and the perfunctory legal note automatically pasted to its end.
We thought of this when an email to Joseph Lee at MLGW returned this automatic reply:
“Joseph Lee is no longer the president of MLGW. Please refer all communications for the MLGW President’s Office to Rick Masson, interim president of MLGW.”
Added to the bottom was a disclaimer undoubtedly penned by the legal staff:
“This email and any attachments represent the views and opinions of only the sender and are not necessarily those of Memphis Light, Gas & Water Division, and no such inference should be made.”
